During the My Plant & Garden exhibition in Milan, it became clear that Italian florists and floral designers are in love with Dutch-grown Lisianthus. In a country where weddings are a huge part of the florist's work, Lisianthus is a perfect fit for them, they told Lisianthus.nl. It is not only the different colours and shapes that make it an ideal flower. The vaselife and its ability to withstand the heat and sun in the summer make it stand out! This is why the Lisianthus is getting more and more preferred.
Of course, the typical white colour is an all-time favourite for most, although the wedding market is also getting more colourful, with bright colours. What’s more, the trendy Rosanne Terracotta does well for weddings with more natural, earthy tones.
In the stands around us, it was also visible that the Lisianthus is becoming more and more popular, as we saw the Lisianthus not only being used frequently in the stands, but it was also featured a lot on stage with various top designers.
In our stand, we had Ivan Bergh as our flower designer, inspiring the florists with commercial designs. Ivan is also one of the 10 designers which is in the new Lisianthus book.
