Dutch Lisianthus in the Spotlight at SAF 2026
During the 2026 SAF Annual Convention in Amelia Island, Dutch-grown Lisianthus once again took center stage and walked away with even more fans.
The 2026 SAF (Society of American Florists) Annual Convention was held in Amelia Island, Florida. Florists from all over the United States gathered to learn, have fun, and reconnect with colleagues — and within hours, Dutch-grown Lisianthus had become one of the talking points of the show.

Why Florists Love Dutch Lisianthus
Across the floor, the Dutch-grown Lisianthus received praise for two simple reasons: its outstanding year-round quality, and the sheer range of colors and shapes on offer. Florists from the southern US states, in particular, singled out Lisianthus as a go-to flower because it holds exceptionally well in warm weather and at outdoor weddings — exactly the conditions where many other blooms struggle.
The Inspiration Book and the Brochure
During the Supplier Expo, visitors had the chance to pick up their own copy of the Lisianthus Inspiration Book — and most didn't pass up the opportunity. Alongside the book, every visitor also took home a brochure listing all of the year-round Lisianthus varieties grown in the Netherlands, a practical reference for sourcing in any season.
Two Red Ribbons in the Outstanding Varieties Competition
The enthusiasm for Dutch-grown Lisianthus was officially confirmed during the Outstanding Varieties Competition, where Lisianthus took home two Red Ribbon prizes: one for Celebrich White and another for Rosanne Bright Green.
Looking Back on a Successful Convention
We look back on a highly successful SAF 2026: Dutch-grown Lisianthus arrived in Amelia Island with a strong fan base, and we're proud to have made even more converts along the way. See you at the next one!
